It looks like the Sony NSZ-GS7 Google TV got an update this morning, what does this update give us? The first thing i noticed after i updated the Google TV was there’s an update for the Pandora Radio app, this update will now give you the PIP option of watching Live TV while listening to Pandora.
- Upgrade to the latest Google TV OS
- Added Voice Search application
- Added Amazon Instant Video app
- Improves system stability
If you don’t want to buy a new remote from Sony with the built in mic you can get a Bluetooth headset and pair it with the Sony.

You will now be able to access the Amazon Instant Video app instead of using the browser.
Enjoy Amazon Instant Video on Google TV by downloading this free app. Amazon Instant Video has more than 140,000 titles, including new release movies and in-season TV episodes to rent or purchase. Purchased movies and TV episodes appear in Your Video Library, to enjoy anytime. In addition, Amazon Prime members can watch thousands of videos at no additional cost to their membership. Sign up for a one month free trial of Amazon Prime at http://www.amazon.com/primeinstantvideo. Currently this app is only available for select Google TV devices. Earlier Google TV devices like the Logitech Revue and Sony Beyond TVs and Blu-ray players are not compatible with this new application, but are compatible with the Amazon Instant Video service via our website.
If you don’t see the update notification you can try and force the install like i did. Go into the Application setting, Look for Google Services Framework and clear the Data, then reboot the device go back into the settings and click the About button, check for updates, it should be there.
